I enjoyed looking at Phil Borges' work because I liked how desaturated his photos looked. There is a lot of depth of field in his photos where everything in the foreground is very clear and the background is unfocused. Even though the background is not in focused it's still pretty. It reminds of an Ansel Adams photograph. With that being said, it his photos also put the main focus on the people and not the background by giving them a little more color, having the background be almost completely desaturated. Not only is his work aesthetically pleasing to look at each and every one of his photographs of people include a story and background information on his subjects. This provides a more intimate moment for viewers when looking at his photographs.
