Ordover Gallery: Mitch Dobrowner

I went to this gallery with Nicole! We both agreed that our favorite artist is Mitch Dobrowner. I really enjoyed his work because like myself, I like to take pictures of nature and landscapes. His pictures are all in black and white showing the vast horizon of the Earth and the natural phenomenons that occur in it. His work invokes a eerie, yet beautiful feeling that makes me feel at awe with how well he captured the Earth as well as amazed that something like that exist! I couldn't find the picture I liked at the museum at the moment but going to the webpage I found one that also look just as awesome!

Angel's Tree

Viva la revolucion!!!

This is the museum in downtown. I had to go there for another class so it was like killing two birds with one stone. It was pretty cool! For the other class we had to answer these questions and I was put into a group of people that I didn't know but that's fine.. anyways, my favorite piece was one I unfortunately forgot the name of but it was a pimped out bike thing that looked really fancy. I think what the artist was going for was to make it so ultra fancy that it rendered it useless. The other art piece that I enjoyed was the room with the numerous photos of people and the video projection at the end showing a point of view shot of someone walking around a city in what seems like some place in South America. I liked it because it kind of gave me an idea of what it was like to be someone from that region on Earth. The video raised my awareness of the lifestyle of the impoverish and less fortunate. That wasn't my favorite because it made me kind of sad but even so, it impact me in a positive way.
